Like many of us older folks, I have some health issues, but by and large, I am pretty well preserved.
My politics are…complicated. I am not even sure what “liberal,” “conservative,” “left,” and “right” even mean in 2025. Put me somewhere in the middle. I believe in a muscular foreign policy and free trade. I believe that housing and healthcare should be considered rights. Nevertheless, I am proudly capitalist.
I believe it is impossible to overstate how important that Ukraine prevails over Russia. The implications are enormous, affecting Europe, NATO, and even China.
This Substack won’t be just about politics - I am going to talk about food, theater, movies, television, and whatever comes to mind.
